In 2014 I had joint pain and doctor after seeing blood report said I have vitamin D problem. Treatment was done for 6 months. Later I was fine. Again now from one week my joints are paining and have swelling in ankle and feet which stays the whole day and increases in evening. Which doctor I need to consult?

After pregnancy, my wife developed severe pain in lower bones and back. I consulted a doctor (GYN and OBS) who advised a blood check up. Blood report results show calcium 10.40 mg/dL, TSH by CLIA Serum 3.41 ?IU/mL, Free T4 Serum by CLIA 1.17 ng/dL, Free T3 Serum by CLIA 2.32 pg/mL, 25 Hydroxy (OH) Vitamin D Serum 11.66 ng/mL.

She has been prescribed T. Shelcal HD and T. Losmia 60K for 8 weeks. After taking medicine for about 4 weeks, she did not find any relief in the pain. Do I need to take a second opinion on the same or wait for more time?

One of my friends advised to ask our doctor for vitamin D3 injection, as it will be very effective. Please advise or guide me. Should I go for a second opinion or ask my doctor for vitamin D3 injection? Please suggest some D3 injections which are good to take and available in the market? If vitamin D increased from 32 to 138 in a month, is that a cause for cancer? He also has acute back pain and said that his bones are dissolving into his blood, which is why his vitamin D increased so much?

A PTH level of 22 pg per ml is within normal range. Weakness could be due to other causes. Monitor calcium, Vitamin D, and continue care for other conditions.
