I have done a routine urine test. My nitrite level shows positive. What does it mean? Please suggest.

Positive nitrite in urine usually indicates a bacterial urinary tract infection (UTI), commonly due to E. coli. If you have burning or frequent urination, consult a doctor. Start antibiotics only after doing a Urine Culture. Drink 2 to 3L water daily.

My routine urine report shows 10 to 15 pus cells per hpf and a trace amount of protein. Epithelial cells are 2 to 3 per hpf. Could you please help me understand what this means and if any treatment is needed?

My mother is 38 years old and has been suffering from urinary tract infections along with kidney stones for the past 3 years. Recently, most of the stones were removed, but a small stone remains. She now experiences very frequent urination. Her recent urine report shows the presence of albumin, low urine volume of 20 ml, amber coloured urine with a turbid appearance, aromatic odor, and sediment containing red blood cells and pus cells in full field. Given these symptoms and lab findings, please advise on the best approach to treat her condition permanently.
