I have a slight ACL tear and some knee swelling do I need surgery for this or can it heal with physiotherapy alone? What would you recommend for recovery?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
While some ACL tears may heal without surgery through rehabilitation and bracing, others require surgical intervention for complete recovery. The best approach depends on the individual's condition and lifestyle.

After a leg fracture, how long before someone can start playing sports again? My friend was advised to take a break for 4 weeks. Is that usually enough time?
The time it takes to recover from a leg fracture and resume playing sports or physical activities varies depending on the severity and location of the fracture, but generally, it can take anywhere from 6-12 weeks or even longer for more complex fractures, so your friend's 4-week rest period is likely just the initial phase of recovery

I had an accident a few years back and the doctor said it was just a bone fracture but the issue came up again last year when a scan showed minuscules and a torn ligament do I really need surgery or can this heal on its own
Whether surgery is needed for a meniscus and a torn ligament depends on the severity of the damage, your symptoms, and your overall health. Minor tears may heal on their own, while more significant tears or complications may require surgery according to medical sources
