I recently had a mole removed using a blade, and they stopped the bleeding with heat. Now I've noticed there's a small crater where the mole was. I'm keeping it clean with soap and water, applying the ointment my doctor recommended, and covering it with a bandage. I'm just a bit worried thoughwill this crater eventually fill in as everything heals?

View allI've been dealing with a severe rash on my hips for the last three months, and it seems to be spreading quickly to the front of my body too. Could you suggest any easy and quick remedies to help get rid of it?
That could be fungal infection which needs both oral and topical antifungal medications and personal hygiene is more important for such condition.

I'm dealing with some really irritating itching and inflammation around my inner thighs and below the scrotum, and it's been going on for about two months now. I noticed it started when it was super humid, and I was walking a lot with sweaty thighs. Before, I used to just apply Itch Guard, and that seemed to do the trick, but this time it hasn't helped. I've also tried using Dexoderm Terbest cream, but I'm still struggling with the same issue. Could you help me figure out what else I should do?
Potential Causes* 1. *Intertrigo*: A skin condition caused by friction, moisture, and bacteria, common in warm and humid environments. 2. *Candidiasis*: A fungal infection, often triggered by excessive moisture and sweat. 3. *Contact dermatitis*: An allergic reaction or irritation from clothing, soap, or other substances. 4. *Eczema*: A chronic skin condition characterized by dryness, itching, and inflammation. *Treatment Options* 1. *Antifungal creams*: Continue using Terbest cream or try other antifungal creams like clotrimazole or miconazole. 2. *Hydrocortisone cream*: Dexoderm is a hydrocortisone cream. You can continue using it to reduce inflammation. 3. *Calamine lotion*: Apply calamine lotion to soothe itching and reduce inflammation. 4. *Tea tree oil*: Mix a few drops of tea tree oil with a carrier oil (coconut or olive oil) and apply it to the affected area. Tea tree oil has antifungal and antibacterial properties. *Self-Care Measures* 1. *Keep the area clean and dry*: Wash the affected area with mild soap and lukewarm water. Dry thoroughly, especially after exercising or sweating. 2. *Wear breathable clothing*: Choose loose-fitting cotton underwear and avoid tight clothing that can trap moisture. 3. *Avoid scratching*: Scratching can further irritate the skin and lead to infection. 4. *Apply powder*: Use a medicated powder or talcum powder to keep the area dry and reduce friction.

I've got this issue with my right butt cheek that's really swollen, and it's making it hard for me to move around and causing a lot of pain. What could be causing this, and how should I deal with it?
Possible Causes There are several possible causes for the swelling and pain in your buttock, including: 1. Abscess or boil: A bacterial infection that causes a pocket of pus to form. 2. Pilonidal cyst: A cyst that forms near the tailbone, often causing pain, swelling, and infection. 3. Furuncle or carbuncle: A skin infection that causes a painful, pus-filled bump. 4. Cellulitis: A bacterial infection of the skin and underlying tissues. 5. Trauma or injury: A fall or direct blow to the buttock can cause swelling and pain. Recommended Next Steps To get proper diagnosis and treatment, I strongly recommend that you: 1. Seek medical attention: Visit an urgent care center, emergency room, or schedule an appointment with your primary care physician. 2. Get a proper examination: A medical professional will examine the affected area, take a medical history, and possibly order imaging tests (e.g., X-rays, ultrasound) to determine the cause of the swelling and pain. 3. Follow treatment recommendations: Based on the diagnosis, your healthcare provider will recommend treatment, which may include antibiotics, drainage of an abscess, or other interventions. Self-Care Measures While waiting for medical attention, you can try the following self-care measures: 1. Apply ice: Ice can help reduce swelling and ease pain. 2. Take over-the-counter pain relievers: Pain relievers like acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil) can help manage pain and discomfort. 3. Avoid strenuous activities: Avoid activities that exacerbate the pain or discomfort. 4. Keep the area clean: Gently clean the affected area with mild soap and water to prevent infection.
