I'm 21 and I've had asthma since I was 2. It's not super severe, but I do need to use my Foracort inhaler every day. I also like to work out at the gym. One time I tried whey protein and got hives from it. I'm wondering if taking amino acid supplements could negatively affect my asthma? Would love to know your thoughts.

View allI'm experiencing brown phlegm for the last four days, especially in the morning right after I wake up. It's really concerning, as I need to spit it out and it hurts when I drink water or swallow saliva. Initially, I wasn't able to get it out properly, so I tried gargling with hot salt water, which seemed to help. By the way, I smoke. Do you think this could be related? Should I be worried about this?
It sounds like you may have bronchitis, which can be aggravated by smoking. I recommend you to take an expectorant like Mucinex (guaifenesin) 600mg every 12 hours to help loosen the phlegm. Additionally, you can use an over-the-counter cough syrup like Robitussin (dextromethorphan) 10ml every 4-6 hours as needed for cough. It is important to stay hydrated, so drink plenty of water throughout the day. If the symptoms persist or worsen, please consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.

I've been dealing with a cough for the past month and had symptoms that reminded me of Covid-19, but I've taken the RTPCR test twice this month, and both came back negative. Even so, I'm feeling a lot of pressure in my lungs. Any idea what could be going on or what I should do next?

I'm dealing with this constant breathlessness and I'm not sure if it's from a cold or maybe GERD. I'm having a hard time expanding my chest sometimes, and when I wake up, one of my nostrils is often blocked. Ive had an echo, ECG, TMT, and a chest X-ray done, and all are normal. Every now and then, I take theophylline, which seems to relax things, but I'm still unsure what's actually causing these issues. Could you shed some light on what might be going on?
