I'm 22 and have been dealing with gas problems for the past few days. I was admitted to the hospital for similar issues before. Today, since this morning, I've had this sharp pain in the center of my chest. It gets worse when I breathe, sit, or stand up. What could this be, and should I be worried?

It sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms of acid reflux or gastritis, which can cause chest pain along with gas problems. I recommend taking an antacid medication like Tums (calcium carbonate) 500mg tablets for immediate relief of gas and chest pain. You can take 2 tablets as needed, up to 4 times a day. Additionally, you can try avoiding spicy and acidic foods, eating smaller meals, and avoiding lying down right after eating to help manage your symptoms. If the pain persists or worsens, please seek medical attention.

I'm really struggling with this issue and it's so horrible that I can't even bear to think about going to the bathroom. I've been trying osil, but it doesn't seem to be working. Is there anything else I can do to get some relief quickly?

-I understand how overwhelming this must feel, especially when you're not seeing immediate results. Treatment can take time, and it's frustrating, but sometimes combining treatments and patience helps. If you're not getting relief from Osil, it might be w

I've been dealing with acidity for the past year, especially in the mornings. I've tried a bunch of medicines, and while they help, I end up feeling really weak. What could be causing this, and do you have any suggestions on what I should do next?

To alleviate morning acidity and weakness, consider the following: modify your diet by avoiding trigger foods (spicy, fatty, or citrusy), eating smaller, more frequent meals, and incorporating alkaline-rich foods (fruits, vegetables, and whole grains); in addition to antacids or acid reducers, try natural remedies like ginger, aloe vera juice, or licorice tea;
