I'm a 29-year-old guy who's been told I need squint correction surgery and I'm kinda nervous about it. Can you tell me what the success rate is for this surgery so I know what to expect?

View allI've had squint eyes since birth and I'm 27 now. I've learned to live with it, but if there's a way to fix it without surgery, I'd love to know more. Are there any non-surgical treatments or exercises that could help correct squint eyes?
Minor squint may be improved with vision therapy in children, but adult cases often need surgery for cosmetic correction.

My right eye power is 2.75 and left is 3. I wear contact lenses for about 10 hours daily and had laser surgery 10 years ago. For the last 3 years, my vision has been blurry. Can this be corrected? I prefer Ayurveda and take triphala powder with water every night. Are there any medicines, exercises, or dietary changes that could help me stop depending on glasses or contacts

In my recent eye exam, I noticed that my vision power has decreased from 4.00 to 3.5 in both eyes, and I've been told there's a cylindrical power of 1 in both eyes now. I'm wondering if it's a good or bad thing that my vision power went down like this without any treatment or surgery. Also, if I start wearing glasses with the prescribed cylindrical power, is there a chance that the cylindrical issue will improve over time?
It is generally a good sign that your refractive power has decreased without any treatment or surgery, as it may indicate natural changes in your eyes. To address the cylindrical power in both eyes, wearing eyeglasses with the prescribed CYL power can help correct your vision and reduce the impact of astigmatism. Over time, wearing the prescribed eyeglasses consistently may help in managing and potentially reducing the cylindrical power. Regular follow-up with your eye care provider is important to monitor any changes in your vision and adjust your prescription as needed.
