I'm a bit confused because all the tests like the Mantoux, AFB sputum culture, and Genexpert sputum have come back negative, but the CT scan and x-ray are showing something concerning. We've done the AFB sputum test twice with a good sample, and it's negative both times. However, there's still a light cough, but the saliva seems normal. What could be causing this? Should we be worried or consider any other possibilities? Would appreciate any advice you can offer.

Back then, it showed some congestion in the hilum and increased bronchovascular markings that were thought to be due to an infection in my lower respiratory tract, and there were also some patchy segments of pneumonitis near the heart. Everything else on the x-ray was fine, though. Since then, I've been healthy and haven't had any breathing issues, just the occasional cold and cough. I also had really high IgE levels at that time, but I've quit smoking for almost three years now. I'm concerned about whether these markings could be considered scars on the x-ray. Is there a way to address this, or do you think it could affect my medical approval? Would love to hear your thoughts on this!
Old chest X-ray findings of increased broncho-vascular markings or pneumonitis typically resolve without leaving scars if the infection was treated properly. Since you've had no breathing issues and have quit smoking, it's unlikely these would appear as scars now. A fresh X-ray and consultation with a pulmonologist should clarify this.

I'm really worried about my dad who's 86 and has chronic bronchitis. Right now, he's having some trouble breathing because there's fluid building up in his lungs. Can you suggest any good clinics where we can go to have this fluid drained? I'm just trying to find the best way to help him out.

I've been having this wheezing issue since last night and it's never happened to me before. There's a lot of construction near my place, and it's super dusty. Now I've got a wheezing cough with greenish phlegm, and it's really tough to breathe. What could be going on?
