I'm currently taking Methotrexate 5mg and a contraceptive tablet. I'm wondering, how long should I continue these medications? Also, is it advisable to consider phototherapy as a treatment option?

Taking Oncotrex (methotrexate) 5mg with a contraceptive tablet is a common treatment regimen for conditions like psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis; the duration of treatment varies depending on the condition and response, but typically ranges from a few months to several years; regarding phototherapy, it may be advisable in conjunction with methotrexate treatment, but this should be discussed with your doctor, as phototherapy can increase the risk of skin cancer and other side effects.

I've been having this pain on the right side of my waist, and sometimes it spreads all overfrom left to right and up to down. It's really hard for me to bend forward or backward when it tightens up. I can feel the pain no matter what I'm doing, whether I'm sitting or lying in bed. And it's making it tough to do any kind of hard work. What could be causing this and how can I ease the pain?

You need imaging and scans to determine the cause. It could be muscular pain or spine related abnormality. There are various causes to rule out before making a clear diagnosis.

Sir, I've been dealing with occasional pain in my knee joint, wrist joint, and finger joints for about a year now. Sometimes I even notice swelling in my wrist and finger joints, but it goes away after a while. My blood uric acid level is at 7.4 mgdl, and I make sure to exercise regularly. Could you please suggest a permanent treatment for this?

Aapke joints me pain aur swelling ke saath uric acid level high hone ka matlab ho sakta hai ki aapko gout ho. Uric acid control ke liye purine-rich foods (jaise red meat, alcohol, aur seafood) se bachna zaroori hai. Regular exercise ke saath, ek rheumatologist se milkar medication jaise allopurinol ya febuxostat discuss karein.
