I'm experiencing a burning sensation in my chest area for about a year now. I've had tests like a 2D echo, endoscopy, and X-rays, but everything seems to come back normal. I've also consulted with gastroenterologists and general physicians, even cardiologists, and they all say there's nothing wrong. But I still have this burning feeling every day. I'm not sure what to do next, and it's really concerning me. Could you offer some advice or ideas on what could be causing this?

View allMy wife has external hemorrhoids and wants to manage them through diet to avoid surgery for now. Can you suggest foods that help control and reduce the problem? Also, what foods should she avoid?
Your doctor may recommend that you eat more foods that are high in fiber. Eating foods that are high in fiber can make stools softer and easier to pass and can help treat and prevent hemorrhoids. Drinking water and other liquids, such as fruit juices and clear soups, can help the fiber in your diet work better.

I recently recovered from jaundice, and my bilirubin levels were as high as 15. I'm feeling better now, but I'm curious about when it would be safe for me to get back to the gym. Also, is it okay to start taking my protein shakes and other dietary supplements again?
After recovering from jaundice with a bilirubin level of 15, it is important to give your body enough time to fully recover before resuming intense physical activity and taking dietary supplements. It is recommended to wait at least 4-6 weeks after your bilirubin levels have returned to normal before gradually reintroducing exercise. When you do start exercising again, start slowly and listen to your body. As for protein shakes and dietary supplements, it is best to consult with a nutritionist or dietitian to determine the right timing and dosage based on your individual needs. It is important to focus on a balanced diet with whole foods to support your recovery and overall health.

I've just gotten my LFT and Lipid profile test results, and I'm kind of worried because the numbers seem high. My total bilirubin is at 2.1 mgdl, direct bilirubin is 0.5 mgdl, and the indirect bilirubin is 1.6 mgdl. Can you help me understand what these high values mean? Should I be concerned?
Based on these results, you may benefit from taking Ursodeoxycholic acid to help lower your bilirubin levels.
