I'm having a bit of an issue with rice sometimes getting stuck in my throat, and then I end up with hiccups. I'm starting to wonder if maybe I'm eating too fast. Could this be causing the problem? And do you have any tips on how I can avoid this from happening?

I've been dealing with an irritation on the left side of my throat, and it even makes my ear itch. It's just a little uncomfortable, especially when I'm eating. I've been smoking for a while now, and this has been going on for about a month. I'm getting a bit worried about what's going on here. Any idea what's causing this and what I should do?

I'm really worried because I had a tympanoplasty before, and it didn't work out. The doctors mentioned that if I decide to try again, there's only a 50% chance of success. I'm feeling unsure about what to do next. Could you provide some guidance on this situation?
