I'm really concerned because I've been craving slate pencils for about six months now and I've already eaten a few. I'm worried if this could be bad for my health. I keep wanting to eat more. Is there something missing in my diet that's making me want them? How can I stop these cravings?

It can be harmful to ingest slate pencils in large quantities. It can result in constipation, lung infections, vomitting and diarrhea. Your craving could be a sign of lack of certain vitamins and minerals in the body. It is advisable to start taking multivitamins and supplements such as Revital, or Zincovit tablets. You may wish to do a serum electrolyte blood test in order to determine which minerals your body is lacking.

View allI've had three endoscopies and the reports show a hiatal hernia. Right now I'm on Sompraz L and don't have burning sensations, but my chest feels really heavy and uncomfortable. The cardiologist checked me for chest pain and all tests even the chest X-ray came back normal with no heart issues. Still, the chest pain won't go away. Do I need surgery for the hiatal hernia or is there another way to manage this?
A detailed evaluation will help decide the best course of action.

The patient has been on TB medication for a month and has been vomiting continuously for the past two days after eating or drinking anything. Today, she took her TB medicine twice and vomited it up both times almost immediately. Should we skip today's TB dose? And do you have any advice on how to handle the vomiting? Please help.
Yes. Vomiting may be because of AKT induced hepatitis. For that liver function test to be checked and treatment should be modified accordingly

I'm Rajesh and I've been having this abdominal pain on the left side of my belly button for about 4 years now. I did a colonoscopy and endoscopy and they told me it's IBS. But just last week, I had an ultrasound and they found a 3mm gallbladder polyp. I'm really worried about it and it's making it hard for me to focus on work. Is this something dangerous? What should I do?
A 3mm gallbladder polyp is generally not dangerous, but regular monitoring is important. No immediate treatment is typically required, but keep an eye on any changes in symptoms. Managing IBS and discussing your stress with your doctor can help improve your overall well-being.
