I'm really worried about my boyfriend. He's experiencing these aching pains in his back and it gets really bad when he coughs, to the point where he can't even get out of bed. What could be causing this, and what should we do next?

I'm a defense aspirant and had to undergo reconstruction surgery for my leg. If I regain full motion and function, will this affect my SSB medical clearance? Could it impact my leg's performance during physical tests?

While regaining full motion and function after leg reconstruction surgery is a positive sign, it doesn't automatically guarantee SSB medical clearance. The SSB medical board will assess the extent of the surgery, the recovery progress, and the overall functionality of your leg. A history of surgery is often disqualifying, but can be waived if the board is satisfied with the recovery.

I had surgery in 2014 where they removed all stitches and put a metal rod in my leg. The operated area is dry now, but there's still a small hole where fluid leaks out sometimes. I can't walk or stretch properly because my leg feels stiff, and there's nerve pain. The fluid leakage stops and starts randomly what could be causing this and should I be worried?

Persistent drainage and stiffness post-orthopedic surgery may indicate chronic infection or hardware issues—seek reevaluation.
