I'm really worried because my SGPT levels are high in my blood tests. I used to drink alcohol weekly, so I'm wondering if that's what's causing it. How can I lower my SGPT levels quickly? Also, if I get my levels back to normal, would it be okay to drink occasionally?

To decrease SGPT levels quickly, you should first stop consuming alcohol completely. Additionally, you can take medications like Ursodeoxycholic acid (300mg) or S-Adenosylmethionine (400mg) to help lower SGPT levels. It is important to also maintain a healthy diet, exercise regularly, and stay hydrated to support liver function. Once your SGPT level returns to normal, it is best to avoid alcohol consumption or drink in moderation to prevent a recurrence of high SGPT levels.

View allI'm experiencing pain just below my right ribs since yesterday. It gets worse when I breathe, laugh, or change positions while sleeping. I'm really concerned about what might be causing this. Could you please help me understand what it could be?
Hello, it sounds like you may be experiencing pain in your right ribs. This could be due to a muscle strain or inflammation of the rib cartilage. I recommend taking over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen (Advil) 400mg every 4-6 hours as needed for pain relief. Additionally, applying a warm compress to the area may help alleviate the discomfort. If the pain persists or worsens, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation.

I'm really concerned about my health lately. I've been experiencing stomach pain for the past two days and it's been getting worse whenever I pass gas. The pain seems to be focused on the left side. Along with that, I've noticed that I'm going to the bathroom to urinate way more frequently, like every 20 minutes, and I end up going about four times in that period. I'm not sure what's going on and it's starting to worry me. Could you help me understand what might be happening?
Based on your lab results, it appears that you have: 1. _Subclinical hypothyroidism_: Elevated TSH levels (>4.5 UmL) with normal T3 and T4 levels. 2. _Possible Eltroxin (T4) dosage adjustment needed_: Your current dosage might not be sufficient to maintain optimal TSH levels. _Treatment:_ 1. _Dosage adjustment_: Your doctor may increase your Eltroxin dosage to achieve optimal TSH levels (typically between 0.5-4.5 UmL). 2. _TSH monitoring_: Regular blood tests (every 6-8 weeks) to monitor TSH levels and adjust your dosage accordingly. 3. _Consider adding T3 (liothyronine)_: If your TSH levels remain elevated despite T4 dosage adjustments, your doctor might consider adding T3 to your treatment regimen. _Important:_ 1. _Do not adjust your dosage without consulting your doctor_. 2. _Continue taking your current dosage until your doctor advises otherwise_. 3. _Schedule a follow-up appointment with your doctor to discuss your lab results and treatment plan_.

I've just got my USG Abdomen Pelvis report and it says I've got mild hepatomegaly with fatty liver grade 1-2. I usually have alcohol about three times a week. I'm really worried about how serious this is and if it's going to be dangerous for my health. Could you let me know what advice or medicine you would recommend? And also, how long might it take to reverse this condition?
