I'm trying to lose weight but I'm not sure how to do it safely without exercise because of my torn ACL. I weigh 85 kg and my height is 175 cm my goal is to get down to 70 kg in 5 months, aiming for 3 kg per month. Since I can't work out due to my knee injury and upcoming surgery in May 2017, can I rely just on dieting to lose the weight? Are there any allopathy treatments that could help with weight loss?

I'm curious about the effects of water fastingI recently did it for 5 days without eating, just drinking water, and lost about 2 kg. I'm worried about whether I'll gain the weight back after I stop fasting.
