I'm worried about some ongoing health issues and wondered if a CT scan of the abdomen and chest might reveal problems with my aorta, diaphragm, or soft tissue. Could these areas show potential issues on this type of scan?

View allIs there a need to keep my one-year-old HRCT chest scan films if they're normal? I'm wondering if storing them serves any purpose, or can I just get rid of them? I'm worried about clutter but also don't want to toss anything important for my future health. Do these old scans have any benefit for reference or upcoming doctor visits, or are they just unnecessary to keep?
yes

I'm due for a chest X-ray retest soon, and I'm really anxious about how to make sure my lungs show up clear. Do you have any advice or tips on preparing for it, or things I should do to improve my chances of a clear X-ray?
Infections seen on the chest x-ray will resolve once the infections come under control. Scars due to cigarette smoking won't resolve always but some can reduce after stopping smoking and exercising thoroughly. Keep yourself well hydrated. This isn't an assured method but has shown to help in few. I would advise you to meet a radiologist.

I'm a bit confused about my x-ray reports. The first time I got it done, the results seemed off, but when I had another one the next day, everything looked fine. I'm just trying to understand if it's common to get different x-ray results like that, and if there's a chance something could have gone wrong the first time. Is this something I should worry about?
normal
