I've been having this pain in my neck and the upper side of my chest, and sometimes it hurts when I swallow. I'm kind of worried and not sure who I should reach out to for help. Could you give me some advice on what this might be and what kind of specialist I should see?

You can use throat lozenges for throat pain. It is also recommended to drink plenty of warm fluids and avoid spicy or acidic foods. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it is advisable to consult with a medical professional for further evaluation and management. Pain in the neck and upper side of the chest, along with pain during swallowing, could be due to inflammation or infection in the throat or esophagus. This could be caused by conditions such as pharyngitis, esophagitis, or even muscle strain. You can try taking over-the-counter pain relievers like Acetaminophen (Tylenol) for pain relief.

View allMy daughter is 6 years old and she has adenoids. The main issue we're seeing is that she really snores a lot at night. To try and avoid surgery, someone mentioned that we could use metaspray and give her Montair LC at night. I'm really curious about whether that's a good idea or not. Any advice would be great!
Metaspray is a nasal spray containing Mometasone which is a steroid that helps reduce inflammation in the nasal passages. Montair LC is a combination medication containing Montelukast and Levocetirizine. Montelukast helps in reducing inflammation in the airways and Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that helps in relieving allergy symptoms. These medications can help reduce nasal congestion, inflammation, and snoring associated with adenoids. It is important to follow the dosage instructions provided by your healthcare provider.

I've been dealing with tonsil issues for the past 2-3 years, but only the left one hurts and it's gotten bigger. It's really affecting my life and I'm feeling so down about it. Is there any way to treat this without surgery? I'm desperate for some guidance on what to do next
It's understandable that you're seeking non-surgical solutions for your persistent tonsil issue. Since you've been dealing with this for 2-3 years and the left tonsil is particularly affected, it's important to rule out other possibilities and get a proper diagnosis

I'm having this issue where I really feel like I need to sneeze, but I just can't seem to actually sneeze. It's been going on for a bit, and now I'm getting a headache and even some stomach pain from it. Any idea what's going on or how I can finally get some relief?
The inability to sneeze, despite the urge, can lead to pent-up pressure, causing headaches and stomach discomfort; try relieving the tension by: applying pressure to the philtrum (area between nose and upper lip), taking a warm shower, drinking plenty of fluids, or using saline nasal sprays to loosen mucus, and if symptoms persist, consult an ear, nose, and throat (ENT
