I've been having pain on the right side of my chest and noticed some bleeding when I cough during morning brushing. There's also shortness of breath when walking. My CT scan showed something about osteochondroma near the mid ribs on the right side, but the report wasn't definitive it had a question mark next to osteochondroma. I'd prefer medication over surgery which type of doctor should I see for this?

See an orthopedic or thoracic surgeon; further imaging may clarify the diagnosis before considering any invasive steps.

View allI've been dealing with this off-and-on shortness of breath for about two years now. It's usually mild and goes away by itself, but it keeps coming back. I havent noticed any other issues, and I don't smoke or have any major health problems, haven't had any recent surgeries either. My chest X-ray and even the indirect laryngoscopy came back fine. I'm just curious, what could be causing this?

I'm kind of worried because I've been coughing up these black particles in my phlegm every day, and it's pretty thick, especially in the morning. The color is usually grey and it looks a bit like clots. I'm not a smoker and never have been, plus I wear a mask all the time. I haven't had any breathing issues, fever, or weight loss, though I've been dealing with this for about two months now. I tried taking antibiotics but they didnt really make a difference. I'm only on thyroid medication at the moment. Any thoughts on what could be going on or what I should do next?
