I've got a bit of a sensitive issue and not sure how to handle it. Lately, I've been having these intrusive thoughts about my mom, and it's really distressing me. I find myself feeling aroused in the evenings and imagining things I definitely shouldn't be about her. I'm worried if this is normal or if theres something wrong with me. It's really confusing and I just want to understand why this is happening and how I can stop these thoughts. Could you help me make sense of this?

Jaw Surgery for Class 3 Malocclusion (Underbite)

Safety and Risks

  1. General safety: Jaw surgery, also known as orthognathic surgery, is a common and generally safe procedure.
  2. Long-term risks: As with any surgery, there are potential long-term risks, such as:
    • Nerve damage (temporary or permanent)
    • Bone resorption or relapse
    • Dental problems (e.g., tooth decay, gum recession)
    • TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders
    • Scarring or facial asymmetry
  3. Age consideration: At 23, you are considered a young adult, and the surgery can be performed with minimal risk.
  4. Growth consideration: Since your facial growth is likely complete, the surgery can provide stable long-term results.

Important Considerations

  1. Choose an experienced surgeon: Select a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive experience in orthognathic surgery.
  2. Discuss risks and benefits: Thoroughly discuss the potential risks and benefits with your surgeon to make an informed decision.
  3. Follow post-operative instructions: Adhere to your surgeon's instructions to minimize complications and ensure optimal healing.

Next Steps

  1. Schedule a consultation: Meet with an experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon to discuss your treatment options.
  2. Get a second opinion: Consider seeking a second opinion from another qualified surgeon to confirm the diagnosis and treatment plan.

I'm feeling a bit anxious because I've been experiencing a heaviness in my head and pressure in my chest. I've already had some health check-ups, including blood tests like CBC, thyroid, lipid profile, and sugar levels, and they all came back normal. I've also undergone an ECG, stress test, 2D echo, and a CT scan of my brain, and those were normal too. I'm just not sure what to do next or if there's anything I should be worried about. Can you help figure out what might be going on?

I'm a bit worried about my health because I've been doing some hand practice and theres this 23-day interval between it. I'm really looking for some advice on how to completely stop this. Do you have any suggestions?

]To stop hand practice, try these suggestions: set realistic goals, identify triggers, practice relaxation techniques like meditation or deep breathing, engage in physical activities, seek support from friends, family, or a therapist, and consider implementing a 30-minute delay tactic when urges arise, allowing you to reassess and redirect your focus, and remember that overcoming this habit takes time, effort, and self-compassion

Moreover omega 3 is just a fatty acid its not replacement for escitalopram. Consult psychiatrist
