I've had a heart stroke before, back in 2008, and my doctor told me to take Ranozex 1gm twice a day. He also recommended a thallium test. I'm wondering if I could switch to RANCAD 1000mg Ranolazine from Lupin Ltd instead of the Ranozex 1gm. Is it okay to use different brands of the same medication? Just want to make sure it's safe.

View allI'm a bit concerned about my blood pressure. It's usually around 13584 or sometimes 14084, but it never goes beyond 140. My doctor prescribed me torsemide for a short periodonly 20 tabletsand said it's mainly because of anxiety. Is this normal? Should I be worried about taking the torsemide, or is it safe to just stop after finishing the tablets like my doctor suggested?
A blood pressure reading of 13584 or 14084 is slightly elevated but not alarming. Your doctor prescribed torsemide for a short period to manage fluid retention, likely linked to anxiety. It's normal in such cases, but it's important to follow up if you continue to feel concerned.

What should we do if a heart attack or stroke happens? My dad recently had one, and I'm worried about what steps we need to take to care for him properly. Could you give some advice or tips on what precautions are important in these situations?

I'm a bit concerned about my medication. I've been on it for 2 years now, and while I'm currently not having any issues with blood pressure or heart rate, I'm wondering if I should stop taking it to steer clear of any potential side effects. What's your advice on this?
It is recommended to consult with your healthcare provider to discuss the possibility of gradually tapering off the medication under their supervision. The specific medication and dosage will determine the appropriate tapering schedule to minimize any potential withdrawal symptoms or adverse effects.
