I've just finished six months of TB meds in May, but I'm really worried because I'm having trouble breathing on the right side of my lung, where I had some moderate pleural effusion. It's a struggle to breathe normally, and when I take a deep breath, my right lung hurts a lot. Could you please guide me on what might be happening and suggest any medication that could help?

I'm really concerned about my oxygen levels; my SPO2 seems to fluctuate from 89 to 99, and it's usually more stable between 92 and 95. I also have frequent throat infections because of sinusitis draining into my throat and occasionally deal with upper respiratory infections. Could these issues be affecting my oxygen levels? My recent master checkup was normal chest X-ray, ECG, and echo all clear. Ive been using a fingertip home pulse oximeter for measurement. Lately, the throat infections are happening more often. What should I consider or do next?
Frequent throat infections and sinusitis can cause fluctuations in your SPO2 readings, especially with post-nasal drip affecting your airway. However, since your chest X-ray, ECG, and echo are normal, its less likely to be a major underlying issue. Keep monitoring your symptoms, and consult with your doctor if the infections persist or worsen.

My wife's been dealing with a persistent cough for about 15 days, and she had a fever at the beginning, but it went away after 3 days. The same thing happened around this time last year, but back then, it was just a cough that stuck around for a month without the fever. We saw a doctor, and he ran some testsCT Chest showed consolidation in the right upper chest, and last years X-ray showed the same thing while the cough was there, but it went back to normal after a month. Her lab results came back with HB10, ESR99, TLC 3800, Platelets 1.1 lakh. Sputum AFB is negative from 3 samples, but the QuantiFeron Gold test is positive. There are no signs of weight loss or appetite changes. The doctor suspects it might be TB and started her on a regimen with Rifampicin, INH, Pyrazinamide, Ethambutol, and Pyridoxine. I'm just wondering because this issue occurred last year and now again but not in between. Should we stick with the treatment plan? Any insights would be appreciated.
yes it is better to take tuberculosis medicine, rather than complicating the condition
