Just got my MRI results showing a partial thickness tear in the midsubstance of my ACL what are my best non-surgical options for recovery? Really worried about how this might affect my mobility long-term
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
For a partial ACL tear in the mid-substance, non-surgical treatment often involves physical therapy, activity modification, and potentially a brace. The goal is to strengthen the muscles around the knee and improve stability, potentially preventing long-term issues. While a partial tear can be managed non-surgically, it's crucial to understand that some individuals may still experience long-term issues like instability or other complications.

View allMy left elbow got injured after slipping on my motorcycle. One doctor recommended surgery while another said it's a blood clot. I've been taking regular meds for 3 months but still have pain and can't straighten my elbow. Can you check my x-ray and let me know what you think?
Persistent elbow pain needs imaging review—share X-ray for second opinion on clot vs fracture.

I just got my MRI report and it shows a bucket handle tear in the body and posterior horn of the medial meniscus, along with grade I chondromalacia patellae and moderate joint effusion with suprapatellar bursal fluid. I'm really worried do I need surgery for this or can it be managed with physiotherapy? What are my options here?
Bucket handle tear requires Arthroscopic meniscal repair, if tear is 2 months and less. Menisectomy if it's old.
