My alkaline phosphatase level is 148. I am concerned. What should I do now? Is this dangerous? I have attached my report.
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
An alkaline phosphatase level of 148 is mildly elevated. It can happen due to bone growth in younger people, minor liver irritation, or vitamin D deficiency. Usually not dangerous unless other liver enzymes are also high. Consider repeating the test and checking Vitamin D and LFT.
Dr. Shaik Suggests...
Take a Vitamin D Test Test or Take a LIVER FUNCTION TEST (LFT) Test

View allHi, I have been living in Chennai for the past 8 months. My skin is of wheatish complexion, but it has become dull and darker, likely due to the weather. My hands, which are already darker than my overall body tone, have also become very dark. Even when I use sunscreen, I have tried Lotus and Rivela, my face still looks instantly darker. I have also tried various home remedies to remove tan, but they have not worked. I am now considering using dermocosmetic products. Are they effective? Can they provide permanent results in removing the darkness from my skin? Kindly suggest.

Is 25(OH) Vitamin D the same as Vitamin D3? My recent report shows 25(OH) Vitamin D is 55.90. Eight months ago, my Vitamin D3 level was 13, and I took Vitamin D3 60,000 IU once a week for 3 months. I started taking it again for the past 1 month. Should I continue taking Vitamin D3 60,000 IU or stop now? Also, my current Vitamin B12 level is 494. Should I continue the B12 tablets or stop them?
