I had really bad stomach pain yesterday and an ultrasound showed a 5mm stone in the mid pole of my left kidney. Can this pass on its own with meds or will I need surgery? What do you suggest for treatment?

Yes ,conservative therapy is advised to the patient since the stone size is smaller in size 4mm.Antibiotics tab ceftas 200mg ,per orally twice daily for about 5-7 days ,analgesics,antibiotics are advised for symptoms of pain,infection and obstruction.
