my pst test showed 53 db hearing loss in the left ear - the doctor suggested minor surgery but I'm unsure if it's really needed. could you help me understand if surgery is the best option or are there other treatments to consider first?

I'm curious about some issues I've been having. I've been dealing with sinus infections and nasal polyps for about 5 years now. I went through surgery back in June 2016, but just a few months later, the same problems started again.
