My recent blood test shows a Vitamin D level of 12.08 ng/mL, while my serum calcium level is normal at 10 mg/dL. Should I take only a Vitamin D supplement, or a combination of Vitamin D with calcium? Please advise. I have attached my report for reference.

You have vitamin D deficiency. Calcium is normal, so only Vitamin D3 supplements (like cholecalciferol) are required unless advised otherwise by your doctor.

Take a Vitamin D Test Test

View allHi Doctor, for the past one week, I have been experiencing pain in my lower back, especially in the mornings. The pain tends to improve as the day progresses. I had a similar issue a few years ago, and at that time, my doctor said it was due to a lack of calcium and vitamin D, which was confirmed by my blood test. I want to know if this could be the same problem again, and what should I take to get relief from this morning back pain?
