My son has mild swelling in his feet, and his KFT (Kidney Function Test) report has been attached. The doctor has prescribed Dytor 5. What is it used for?

Dytor (torsemide) is a diuretic used to reduce fluid retention/swelling, possibly due to kidney or heart issues. Monitor potassium.

My electrolytes report showed abnormal results, particularly low sodium levels. I was advised to consult a nearby doctor for further evaluation. One physician, after reviewing the report, recommended taking 2 spoons of table salt twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening to help increase my sodium levels.
