My wife had skin grafting surgery on her hands and neck after a fire accident before we got married. The doctor recommended melalite xl cream and brite cream, but I'm wondering if there are better treatments to help her skin return to its original state faster. She's really struggling mentally because of this are there other options that could work better for her?

Outcome after burns depends on the severity. In mild (superficial) and moderate (partial thickness) burn skin usually heals without scarring. But in severe (full thickness) burns all layers of skin are damaged resulting in permanent scars. I am assuming that your wife had sustained severe burns which is treated by skin grafting. Apart from scar hyper pigmentation is another complication of burns. If this what you consulted the Dermatologist then the medications you mentioned do help to improve the appearance. Whether any other medications are indicated in your wife's case depends on the proper assessment. Next Steps You should continue these creams at least for 2-3 months to assess the response of treatment. Health Tips You can consult another skin specialist for second opinion if you are not completely satisfied with the first consultation.

My son has a mole on his head that keeps getting bigger. Is there any treatment for this other than surgery? I'm a bit worried about it growing so fast.
While surgical removal is the primary treatment for a mole that is changing or causing concern, it's not always the only option. If the mole is benign (not cancerous) and you're concerned about its appearance, a dermatologist may suggest alternative treatments, such as watchful waiting or cosmetic removal.

I'm really concerned because my 26-year-old daughter-in-law just noticed a white patch on her back. Her father has vitiligo, and I'm worried it might be related. Could this be a sign of vitiligo too, and what should we do next?
recent discovery of a white patch on her back may be a concern.it can be vitiligo and there are many other conditions also like pityriasis vesicolor Here are some suggestions: Initial Steps 1. Consult a dermatologist: It's essential to get a professional diagnosis to confirm whether the white patch is indeed vitiligo. 2.
