My wife has been suffering from upper back pain for the past 20 days. Initially, the pain was radiating, but now it has become localized to a pinpoint area in the upper middle back. We have done an X ray and blood tests, and both came back normal. So far, we have consulted three orthopedic doctors, but she has not found any relief from the pain.

Persistent back pain without findings may need an MRI to check soft tissues or nerves. Physiotherapy and posture correction often help. Avoid stress on back.

Hi Doctors, my 5 year old kid has been complaining of fibula pain for more than a year. Last January we did his blood test (CBC and Vitamin D3). We found vitamin D3 deficiency and CBC was ok except for a slightly elevated platelet count as he had cough at that time. We consulted a pediatrician and he told us that the kid will have pain due to vitamin D3 deficiency and nothing to worry. He gave some vitamin D3 medicine and it healed the pain, and he did not complain of pain until this month. He gets pain mostly at night after his outdoor activities like playing in the park. The pain lasts for 2 hours and he finds it difficult to walk, but the next morning he walks properly. Can you please suggest the treatment? Do we need to take him to the pediatrician again or to an orthopedic doctor? Please help.

My vitamin D level is 15 (low). The doctor advised me to take vitamin D weekly for 8 weeks and then monthly once, but did not mention for how many months I should continue. How long should I take the monthly doses? Also, does vitamin D help with chest or rib pain?
