Recently, I had a health check up and found that my cholesterol levels are high. The results are as follows: Total Cholesterol: 254 Triglycerides: 240 LDL: 209 HDL: 31.36 I am worried about these numbers. Kindly advise what steps I should take.

Your cholesterol and triglycerides are high, and HDL is low. Start lifestyle changes: avoid fried foods, sugary drinks, and red meat, eat fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, exercise 30 min daily, and maintain a healthy weight. If high cholesterol runs in your family or you have other health risks, medication may be needed. Repeat a Lipid Profile after 3 months to check improvement. Consult your doctor for further treatment planning.

View allMy fasting test report shows the following: Total cholesterol: 265 mg/dl, Triglycerides: 256 mg/dl, HDL: 44.8 mg/dl, LDL: 171 mg/dl, VLDL: 171 mg/dl, Non HDL: 220 mg/dl. Could you please assist in interpreting these results? What could be the possible reasons for these values, and is this really risky?

I am 25 years old and not doing heavy work, just office work. Sometimes I get pain in my left chest when I feel afraid or panic. During the pain, I do not have sweating or breathing problems. May I know why this happens? Is it due to cholesterol or something else?
