Sir, I had severe pain in all of my body joints and I am feeling like vomiting. I did a blood test and the report shows my eosinophils is 7 percent. My Widal agglutination test report is as follows: Titre 1:20 1:40 1:80 1:160 1:320 1:640; Typhi O: plus plus plus and Typhi H: plus plus.

Widal titres up to 1:80 are inconclusive alone. Joint pain with eosinophilia might suggest viral or parasitic cause. Do the required repeat widal, CBC, and check for dengue or malaria.

View allMy husband has had a continuous fever for the past 3 days, with temperatures ranging from 98.8F to 100.5F. He also has cold and cough. Blood tests for malaria and typhoid are normal. CBC and urine routine tests are also normal. Despite taking antibiotics and paracetamol, the fever persists. Could you please advise what might be causing this and what steps we should take next?
