So, about two months ago, I had a scab on my nose, and after it peeled off, the skin underneath turned pink. It's been two months now, and the pink skin hasn't changed back to its natural color. Should I be worried about this? Is there anything I can do, or is it just a matter of time before the skin tone evens out?

I'm thinking about using a derma roller for my face, but I'm not entirely sure how to properly sanitize it. I'm wondering if it's okay to use Dettol or Savlon to clean it. Could you walk me through the sanitizing process? I'm a bit worried about making sure it's safe to use on my skin.

While Dettol or Savlon can be used to sanitize a derma roller, a more recommended approach is to soak the derma roller in a mixture of 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or ethanol for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with sterile or distilled water, and let air-dry; this method is gentler on the needles and more effective against bacteria and other microorganisms.

I've had this pimple on my cheek for a few days, and now the area around it, like an inch or so, is swollen, red, and a bit painful. Could you tell me what might be going on and any recommendations for treatment?

The treatment of acne differs according to the grade of involvement. Some people have more oilyness on the face which results in breakouts. After completing treatment for controlling the active breakouts, tablets can be stopped and creams need to be continued to prevent recurrence. Diet and lifestyle modifications are also important. Please don't do any self treatment such as over the counter Steroid creams. Don't burst the pimples with your fingers as it can result in ugly scars. The marks and pores left behind after the pimples heal can also be treated
