Something feels stuck in my left eye like an eyelash but I can't see anything there. My eye is irritated and uncomfortable. Can eyelids actually go inside the eye? How can I get relief at home without needing surgery?

I've been wearing glasses since I was 9 and switched to contact lenses for the past 6 years. My eyesight keeps getting worse every year right now, my left eye is SPH 8.00 CYL 1.75 AX 140 BC 8.7 DIA 14.5 and my right eye is SPH 8.00 CYL 1.25 AX 030 BC 8.7 DIA 14.5. I'm really worried because I can't imagine living without contacts. Is there any way to stop my vision from worsening or even improve it? I'm 21 now are there any surgery options that could help fix this?
