Hello doctors, greetings. I am a 38 year old unmarried female. I am planning to marry next year. I am 5.3 in height with a weight of 49 kg. My periods are normal with a cycle of 28 to 32 days and a flow of 4 to 5 days. I am not diabetic, nor do I have any thyroid issues or cysts. My KFT is normal. How difficult could it be for me to conceive after marriage as I am 38 years old? My mom had her menopause at the age of 42. I am really worried. Your input would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

At 38, fertility naturally decreases, but many women conceive successfully with healthy cycles and lifestyle. Since your periods are regular and you are healthy, chances are reasonable. It is advisable to try for pregnancy within the first 6 to 12 months after marriage. You can book an AMH (Anti Mullerian Hormone) test to assess your egg reserve before planning. Maintain a healthy diet, exercise regularly, and manage stress to support fertility.

Since AMH is produced by antral follicles, can the AMH test show a lower value after oocyte retrieval in IVF? I recently underwent oocyte retrieval, and my AMH is now 1.33, whereas a few months ago it was 2.45. How could this change have happened?

Dear Sir/Madam, We want to opt for a test tube procedure because my wife cannot conceive naturally as both her fallopian tubes have been removed due to ectopic pregnancy. Kindly suggest the best way to increase the success rate of a test tube procedure.
