Widal titres less than 1:80 are usually non significant. It indicates past exposure or vaccination, not active infection. If febrile, consider getting a blood culture and a CBC done.

I was tested for typhoid about 25 days ago, and at that time my Widal test showed O type 1:160 and H type 1:160. I recently got tested again, and now all other types are negative except O type, which is still showing 1:160. I would like to know the reason behind this. My Widal test report shows the following: Salmonella typhi O: 1:80 Salmonella typhi H: 1:80 Salmonella paratyphi AH: 1:20 Salmonella paratyphi BH: 1:20 Impression: Positive Please advise what this result indicates and the next steps for treatment.
