I was diagnosed with a thyroid problem before my pregnancy. I was on medication throughout that period, taking Thyronorm 12.5 mcg. Post-delivery, my blood report showed that my TSH was normal, so I stopped the medicine. Now I checked again, and it shows that my TSH is 6.34. Please advise whether I should continue the same medicine at the same dosage?

TSH is slightly high. Thyroid may worsen post pregnancy. Restart Thyronorm after doctor consult. Monitor levels.

View allMy hypothyroidism has been detected since last 6 years and I have been taking 75 mcg fixed dose of Thyronorm tablet with regular blood tests and check ups. Thankfully I have been able to maintain my TSH level in normal range for many years. But yesterday I got my report and my TSH level is 6.26 uIU per ml. I have been taking regular medicines. Is there anything to worry? What can I do to prevent TSH from increasing?
