My mom has had fever for the last 12 to 13 days along with severe headache. I consulted a physician who prescribed antibiotics and painkillers. We also did several tests including blood and urine, but nothing abnormal was found. However, after taking the medicines, her fever seems to be getting higher. The doctor is still unable to identify the reason for her fever. What could be the possible cause?

If fever persists and all reports are inconclusive, consider testing for viral infections, autoimmune conditions or do imaging. A detailed consult is needed.

Take a ESR Test (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) Test or Take a ANTI NUCLEAR ANTIBODY (ANA) Test

I have had two miscarriages, one at 14 weeks and another at 12 weeks. My doctor advised me to do some tests, including APLAS, ELISA, EIA, IgM, and IgG. I have received my reports, but I am not sure how to read them. Please help me understand whether my reports are negative or positive.

ANA hep2 is positive at 1:80. What does my report mean? What illness do I have? I have mild fever for many days and I am unable to go to work. I have been told to consult an orthopedician.

Hi, I completed treatment for typhoid, and my Typhi dot and Widal tests have been negative for more than a month. For the past 15 to 20 days, my blood pressure has dropped to 80/50, and I have started experiencing palpitations and numbness in my head after stopping antibiotics. For the last 20 days, I have had similar symptoms as during the initial phase of typhoid but without high fever. I consulted a cardiologist and an endocrinologist. All thyroid, cortisol tests, and echocardiography are normal. Holter report shows brady and tachycardia. The cardiologist suggested that hypotension might be due to some infection and advised repeating blood tests and Typhi dot. Recent blood tests show lymphocytosis, decreased platelets (120), increased RDW SD, and raised liver bilirubin. Typhi dot and Widal are negative. Dengue, malaria, hepatitis, and TB Gold are negative. Stool and urine tests show WBCs but no growth in culture. I frequently feel dizziness, numbness in the head, along with ear, eye, right side abdominal pain, and occasional mild fever (99.2 to 99.8 degrees F). Kindly advise and help?
