My recent blood report shows my prolactin level is 45, and my doctor said this is causing my irregular periods. Currently, I have been prescribed tablets to regulate my periods for 3 months. Could you please advise what steps I should take to normalize my prolactin levels?

A prolactin level of 45 ng per mL is mildly elevated. If periods are irregular and this persists, it could be due to stress, thyroid dysfunction, or a small pituitary issue. Continue the tablets as advised. If symptoms persist, follow up testing such as a thyroid panel or MRI of the brain (to check pituitary) may be needed.
