My spouse has vitamin D deficiency (blood report result 9.12 ng/mL). She has complaints of pain in the lower back, ribs, and ankle/heel. What precautions should we take to ensure that vitamin D levels return to the normal range? Please guide.

This is severe deficiency. Vitamin D3 supplements needed (usually 60,000 IU/week for 8 weeks) under doctors advice. Monitor sun exposure.
Dr. Yusuf Suggests...
Take a Vitamin D Test Test or Take a PTH Test (Parathyroid Hormone) Test
