A TSH of 4.90 is on the higher end of normal borderline for hypothyroidism. Hair loss and receding hairline can be linked to even mild thyroid imbalance. Hey there, I have been experiencing chest pain for the last 15 to 20 days, along with some swelling around the rib cage bone. After researching, I found that my symptoms closely match Tietze syndrome or costochondritis. The pain is especially severe whenever I wake up from any resting position.
