My wife has been suffering from thyroid problems. I have uploaded her test report. Kindly suggest whether the condition is critical or normal. Thank you.

The severity depends on TSH/T3/T4 levels. If elevated TSH and low T4, she may need levothyroxine. Please repeat a full Thyroid Profile.

View allMy TSH is 16.1, but my T3 (1.31) and T4 (8.02) are within the normal range. Surprisingly, I am underweight at 56.5 kg with a height of 172 cm. The other symptoms of hypothyroidism also do not match the high TSH results, whereas symptoms of hyperthyroidism such as tachycardia, anxiety, and sleeplessness are seen. I am confused. What should be inferred here, please?

I have been advised by my gynecologist to get a thyroid profile test and a serum prolactin test because my periods are not regular. I have also undergone a scan, which came out normal. I want to know if alcohol consumption will be detected in these tests.

I am 66 years old. My thyroid test was done on an empty stomach after taking my thyroid medicine. The results show TSH is 3.65, T3 is 0.65 ng/mL (slightly low) and T4 is 5.96 microgram/dL (slightly low). I am taking 25 mcg of thyroxine daily. Are these results normal, or could they be inaccurate because I took the medicine before the test?
