Dear Sir, My mother is an elderly patient with a history of dyspepsia, hypertension, and hypothyroidism. Her gallbladder was removed 8 years ago. She does not have diabetes, weighs around 95 kg, and is 68 years old. For the past 15 days, she has been experiencing pain in the groin area, which feels more like muscle or blood vessel pain rather than joint pain. I am wondering if this could be related to her elevated TSH level, which is reported as 7.8 in her latest lab report. She is currently taking Thyrox 100, Tazloc H 80, Metolar XR 50, Rose Day 10, and calcium supplements. I have attached her latest lab report and the most recent prescription for your reference. Hello, my aunt recovered from viral fever last week. She is not under any medication now. However, for the last 2 to 3 days, she has developed severe headache and nausea. On checking with a local physician, she was advised to do TSH, T3, and T4 tests. Previously, she was under medication for high TSH but stopped the medication a few months ago thinking everything was normal and feeling fine. The fresh test today shows TSH 18.77, T3 117, and T4 9.4. The reports indicate a high TSH level. She is worried and needs help.

Hi doctors. I have done TSH testing for the first time. My report shows 33.574. I do not have any symptoms of high TSH. I am not able to understand why it is high. Should I do another TSH test?

Low T3/T4 with normal TSH may indicate central hypothyroidism. Hb 10.5 suggests mild anemia. Pigmentation can result from nutritional deficiencies. Please follow up with an endocrinologist.
