Hi. I have taken medications one by one. First, I had severe skin problems with pimples. I took three months of treatment, and now the pimples are cleared using medicines and creams. Second, I gained weight suddenly, and my periods became irregular. My blood test showed increased thyroid levels, so I took medicines for that. Next, I am not sure what effects these medicines may have had on me. Now I am thinking about how my skin will look as I get older after stopping these medicines. I need a suggestion to maintain my health in a good way without using any medication?

I am 23 years old and suffering from hypothyroidism. I often feel cold at normal temperatures, feel lazy, have thinning hair, and tend to forget things. I understand these are symptoms caused by low thyroid hormone production. My report shows a TSH of 456, whereas the normal range should be around 3 to 6. I have consulted a doctor and am taking prescribed medication.
My concerns are:
Can hypothyroidism be completely cured?
Will my hair and cognitive function (thinking/memory) return to normal once it is treated?

My TSH is 11.56 as per my report today. I am feeling tired all the time and have body heaviness and no interest in doing any work. Are any other tests required before going to the doctor? Kindly suggest.

Low T3/T4 with normal TSH may indicate central hypothyroidism. Hb 10.5 suggests mild anemia. Pigmentation can result from nutritional deficiencies. Please follow up with an endocrinologist.
