For accurate detection of typhoid, the best test is the Typhoid IgM Antibody Test. It helps confirm recent infection and gives faster results than older methods. If fever is high and ongoing, a Blood Culture may also be advised by your doctor.

My Widal test report shows: S. Typhi O: 1:80 (Positive) S. Typhi H: 1:160 (Positive) S. Para Typhi AH: 1:160 (Positive) S. Para Typhi BH: 1:80 (Positive) Malaria parasite: Not seen Does this indicate a high, medium, or low likelihood of typhoid? What common medicines are usually prescribed, and are there any food or water precautions I should follow?

Hi, my 7 year old niece is suffering from typhoid with a high fever of 103 to 104 degree. Today her blood report shows a hemoglobin count of 5.9. The pediatrician has given sodium drips and injections to lower the fever, but it is still 101 degree a few hours ago. I am very concerned about the low hemoglobin count. Please suggest immediate action?
