I'm wondering why my stool is always loose in the morning. Each day I drink a lot of water right after I wake up, and then have a cup of tea which really makes me want to go to the toilet. I usually drink water before sitting on the toilet to pass stool. Could all this be the reason for my loose stools? What can I do to have a more normal, smooth, and long stool thats easier to pass?

Drinking lots of water, especially on an empty stomach, and consuming tea in the morning may contribute to loose stools; to achieve normal, smooth, and well-formed stools, try the following: drink water in moderation, avoid drinking water immediately before passing stools, eat a balanced breakfast to help firm up stools, incorporate fiber-rich foods (fruits, vegetables, whole grains), exercise regularly, and consider reducing or avoiding morning tea or switching to herbal tea to minimize caffeine's laxative effect.

I've been experiencing pain in my rectum for about a month now, especially when I'm passing stool. It's really uncomfortable and I'm worried about what might be causing it. What could this issue be, and what type of doctor should I reach out to?

Rectal pain can have many causes, including hemorrhoids, anal fissures, constipation, infections, or even more serious conditions like abscesses or inflammatory bowel disease. It's important to consult with a gastroenterologist or proctologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. In the meantime, focus on gentle self-care methods like warm sitz baths, increasing fiber intake, and avoiding straining.

I'm really struggling with this really loud sound coming from my stomach, and it's so embarrassing, especially when I'm around other people. I just feel really uncomfortable. What can I do to stop these gurgling sounds?

The gurgling sound from your stomach is a natural part of digestion, but it can be minimized with lifestyle and dietary changes. Eat smaller meals, chew thoroughly, and avoid gassy foods and carbonated drinks.
