Whenever I comb or wash my hair, large amounts of hair come out. I did some tests recently, and the results are: Vitamin D: 29.52 ng/mL (low) Serum ferritin: 29.70 ng/mL Hemoglobin: 13.4 g/dL TSH: 1.074 microIU/mL What could be causing this hair loss, and what should I do to manage it?

Your vitamin D and ferritin levels are borderline low, which can cause excessive hair fall. TSH and Hb are normal, so thyroid and anemia are ruled out. Hair fall improves when ferritin more than 70 ng/mL and vitamin D more than 50 ng/mL. Take vitamin D3 weekly and iron rich foods or supplements.
Dr. Dhankecha Suggests...
Take a Vitamin D Test Test or Take a Ferritin Test Test

Hair thinning continues, and I also have dandruff. The medicines I am using are Phytoral, Dvion 60X, Biotin, Keraglow shampoo, and Keraglow lotion.

I have been experiencing significant hair loss for the past few months. I took Folli Hair tablets for one and a half months, but they did not help. My blood test results show CBC is normal, iron level is 46 microgram/dL, vitamin D is normal, testosterone is normal, TSH is normal, but my vitamin B12 level is low at 186. What could be the reason for my hair loss?
