It has been a sheer pleasure and contentment to know Dr Kajal Das I have known him for the last 3 years and each time I have been awed by his immense sincerity and dedication It was during the September of 2021 when I had taken my father to Apollo after a severe brain stroke Our distress knew no bounds as he had stopped responding and reacting This is when we met Dr Kajal Das who came as our saviour He patiently handled my father - took the right decisions at the right time with the optimum interventional procedures started treating him from that stage From a mere vegetable state and a state where we had lost even the last residue of hope after very very gradual progress over a span of two months in the hospital my father could eventually get back his senses though his responses were still clumsy and awkward From then on it has always been an upward curve in the graph of his recovery and now he leads a near-to-normal life with a minimum of help in his day-to-day activities Needless to say there have been bouts of flares when he had to be taken back to the hospital and each time that we contacted Dr Kajal Das he has always been ever welcoming cooperating and approachable - be it during midnight calls or a quick message exchange or a sudden visit at the hospital He has never disappointed or disheartened us rather we were always amazed by the fathomless patience he had in dealing with us and the commitment with which he took care of my father The three-year long association with Dr Kajal Das has strengthened the ties of the patient-doctor connection and has time and again fortified our faith and confidence in him Now he is just not my fathers neurosurgeon but has become a medical guardian for the entire family and the extended family Each time we approach him with a medical issue whether it is his domain or not he calmly lends an ear to us and advices us in the right direction Our trust in the medical fraternity has multiplied manifold as he stands as the representative of the same Our admiration adoration and appreciation for Dr Kajal Das is boundless and we consider him as a divine power and a blessing to all of us
