Chemotherapy

My 74-year-old father was diagnosed with ureter cancer. We consulted 2-3 doctors before finding Dr. Ashwin, but we couldn't proceed with them due to our lack of confidence in their recommendations. However, we were fortunate to receive a recommendation to see Dr. Ashwin. We met him at his clinic and later at Apollo Hospital. He is truly exceptional, thorough, and never hesitates to spend extra time with his patients. He patiently explains until we fully comprehend the diagnosis and the subsequent procedures. We deeply appreciate his empathy towards my father. He advised us that ureter cancer should be treated promptly, so we proceeded with open surgery, which involved kidney removal, right ureter removal, and lymph node removal. Given my father's high blood pressure, diabetes, and prior abdominal surgeries, skepticism regarding open surgery was natural. However, Dr. Ashwin explained the approach, including accessing the kidney, removing lymph nodes from the back, and making a small insertion for the ureter. Within a month, my father was walking well, and both my father, I & Doctor were impressed with the unexpectedly quick recovery. We continue to have post-operative appointments to ensure everything progresses smoothly. Thank you once again, Dr. Ashwin, for your unwavering support. prostrate issue

We consulted Dr Ashwin Tamhankar in the month of January 23, for the prostrate issue of my Husband (66 years), he went through all reports & attended for about two hours. Viewing all reports like PSA, MRI, Biopsy & Pat Scan & check up, he advised Prostrate removal to get rid of malignancy at the initial level & avoid spread. Doctor suggested surgery using Robotics ( by that that time Doctor had performed more than ninety five Robotic surgeries). Considering Biopsy performed date and his Gurgaon/ Delhi visit to attend a Seminar, he suggested 07 February 23 as the date of Robotic Surgery. Surgery was performed on 07 February 23 as decided, it was three nights stay at Hospital. First day was difficult but Doctor, his Assistants Docs, nursing staff were always close to us ( my husband) to help over come post surgery discomforts. Apart from successful surgery, it was Doctor Ashwin Tamhankar’s lovely behaviour, he would come to my room & help himself with shoulder to shoulder to walk 🚶 on the floor, this was a moral boosting act for any patient. Post surgery My husband consults periodically Dr Ashwin Tamhankar’s clinic at Seawoods (West). Apart from being very Good Surgeon ( Onco ) , he is loveable Human Being.
