Hepatology Experience:

My initial hepatology training was at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London. Apart from treating patients with Chronic Hepatitis and Cirrhosis of the liver, I was actively involved through my research in the management of patients with Cystic Fibrosis-related liver disease at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London. I have completed a one year Fellowship program in Hepatology & Liver Transplantation at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation, New Orleans, USA. I Worked in Clinical Hepatology and Viral Hepatitis clinic and was also part of the Liver Transplantation program, which included 50 to 60 transplants each year.

I am experienced in the treatment of patients with Viral Hepatitis, in managing patients with end stage liver disease, in the assessment and work up of patients prior to liver transplantation, pre and post-operative care and long-term management of immune suppression in these patients. I have been practicing in India for the past 9 years as a Consultant and working predominantly as a Hepatologist. I have gained good experience in the management of many types of liver disorders in the Indian setting. I am currently working as the Hepatologist and Transplant Physician and have recent experience of 15 successful liver transplants.
