Atrial Septal Defect
Our child had ASD (Atrial Septal Defect) by birth. When my child was 12 we came to know about that this in another private hospital located in Vadapalani, Chennai. Two of senior cardiology doctors in Vadapalani hospital confirmed that 'Open Heart Surgery' is the only solution to close ASD. As a parents we bursted into tears and prayed to God. Yes, there was reply from God through our family friend Mr. Srinivasan who took us Apollo Hospital. There we met cardiology doctor Mr C.S Muthukumaran, after few tests he confidently replied that there is no need of 'Open Heart Surgery' and ASD closure can be done with heart catheterization (During the catheterization, the doctor puts a catheter with a small deflated balloon on the tip through the blood vessel to the hole which is done by a very small cut in child's leg). We cannot say simply in one word Thanks to Doctor Muthukumaran C S, we daily pray to God for this good life.I am heartfully saying that Dr C.S Muthukumaran should live a blessed life from god and he should cure many and many children's with Heart problems such as ASD.
