low back pain

I have been suffering from low back pain for more than 15 years and since 3 months it’s worsen. MRI suggested that L4-5 disc has protruded and compressing spinal canal nerves due to which pain is radiating into right thigh, leg, foot. Seen couple of doctors in last 2 weeks and they recommended for lumbar discectomy, however I was looking for a doctor who can patiently listen and show empathy towards patient. Today, I have seen Dr Raghava sir @ Udai Omni, Nampally. I’m impressed by the cool and composing nature of doctor. This is what is missing in few doctors I had seen in the recent past. He patiently listened to my questions and responded in simple terms. What I liked the most is, of course he recommended for surgery but he also said it depends on my tolerance to pain & other symptoms (numbness, tingling and weakness into legs). He said if the pain is 80% then surgery is required. Pre-op steps and Surgery options explained well. Gave few tips on avoiding sitting/standing for longer durations, walking, swimming and couple of sports. If at all I end up going for surgery I would go with Raghava sir only. The support staff is also nice and cooperative.

Spine surgery

I was given appointment by central appointments team Without consulting the doctor's reception. Since we have come from long distance, they have arranged appointment. Sir's reception staff were too helpful and made my hospital visit comfort. Doctor is too good and he made my mother who is a patient comfortable. He has checked thoroughly and suggested for some tests
